THE AMARO TEAM

David Amaro and Ruben Jr. Amaro were born into a baseball family. Their grandfather, Santos, was a baseball legend in Cuba and Mexico. Their father, Ruben Sr, played in the Major Leagues for 11 years and was a Gold Glove winner at Shortstop. Ruben Jr., played parts of 8 years in the Major Leagues and was the Senior Vice President and GM of the Phillies for 7 years, coached with the NY Mets and Boston Red Sox. Ruben Jr. is currently part of the Broadcast team for Phillies games. The brothers played High School baseball at the William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia. David was recruited and played at Duke University and Ruben Jr. played and was an All American and College World Series Champion at Stanford University. Ruben Jr was drafted and started his professional career with the California Angels and David with the Chicago Cubs Baseball Organization.

David’s sons also had great careers at the William Penn Charter School. David’s older son, Robert, played for the University of Virginia.  His younger son, Andrew, was drafted by the Phillies after playing 3 years with the University of Maryland and his last year with D2 National Champions Tampa University. Andrew is currently coaching at Florida State.

The Amaro family believes that a quality education and being a talented baseball player has its advantages and can open many doors. This is the fundamental reason they all wish to educate, guide, and promote players who love the game, play hard, and are above average students. They take pride in helping guide players as well as bringing new technology and products to the forefront.
